| Many are those who hailed the re-denomination of our currency by the Bank of Ghana. It has made business transactions very convenient. However, my worry is over the one Ghana pesewa (1Gp). Many people do not appreciate it because of the material used and its colour. The colour fades out within a short time and when it falls into the ground it is not easy to find.

| It was my pastor in London, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, who once joked during a sermon at KICC’s legendary and intimate 57 Waterden Road former home (now site of London2012): “If you want to be a millionaire, just go to Ghana…nearly everything is in many million cedis!” Not many in the congregation got the joke and the embarrassing stark reality thereof. |
